Been around for 23 years now and still is arguably the cleanest/simple exterior of the Turbos. No New York Rap Artist's giant SUV wheels. Just three big black air ducts in the front. No 80's strakes on the side mirrors and intercooler ducts. A dash for the 21 st century. No going retro with a 993/964 interior. Air cooled traditionalists got the next generation Turbo with the old dash looks. Not the 996. Still pretty analog with the exception of the PSM that can be disabled with the push of a switch. A detuned 1998 Le Mans winning Mezger engine. All the lamp requirements in the front are in one unit. Just the right amount of swollen rear quarter panels for the perfect size 295's. A spoiler that is unabtrusive and raises at speed. Subtle pinched waist. 8.2 : 1 weight to HP. If you don't plan to track it, 415 HP is more than enough.

I listened to the voice... I decided to pursue the dream from 1979, when by older brother came home withe the green Porsche 911 Matchbox car. I played with it when he would go to school, even though he told me not to. I remember the day he let me choose which one of his Matchbox cars I would like him to let me own. I chose the 911. 2017 I became a proud owner of my Porsche 993 C4s.

Jim Richards drove a 996 911 GT2 CS to a dominant victory in Targa Tasmania in 2006. Awesome car

This is similar to one video I saw in 1991, Senna was in his McClaren, Alan McNish was in a Porsche and a F3 driver, I think it was Oliver Gavin, was in a honda accord. They were at Estoril and the result was almost identical as this video, Senna blew past the other two on the last corner!

The 1993 McLaren MP4/8 would've been a second or two faster than the '94 McLaren. Also they should have used the McLaren F1 supercar instead of that Porsche. 0-60 in 3.0s and a top speed of 240 mph.

Bought one earlier this year, guards red like this one, and with the clubsport package including full roll cage. A blast to drive, handling out of this world. Used it on 3 trackdays already, just need a bit more power to get the real potential out of the engine
